This year - in October 2008 - it is Aitutaki Islands turn to host the Cook islands Southern Group Manea Games. Tere parties from all the Southern Group Islands will meet in Aitutaki on Monday 13th October for an 11 day bonanaza of sports, dancing, festivities and fun in what is probably the most beautiful outer island of them all. There are expected to be over 500 competitors , plus their supporters, competing in Athletics, Cricket, Darts, Netball, Rugby 7's,  Soccer, Tennis, Touch Rugby, Volleyball, Paddling, Sailing and Traditional Sports. There will also be a beauty pageant for the title of Miss Manea Games.

This promises to be an outstanding and colourful  fun packed 11 days and nights, with Cook Islands sportsmen and sportswomen from all the Southern Group islands meeting in Aitutaki to compete and celebrate.

You too can be a part of this fabulous fun filled spectacle, watching the sports events and joining in this unique  Polynesian carnival of sports and culture.

Have a holiday with a difference. Stay with us at Gina's during this special time - interact with the locals - make new friends, and see the real Cook islands - how we live and how we enjoy life.

There are no sports events scheduled for Saturday 18 October and it's a day put aside for golf and taking  a tour on our spectacular blue lagoon.

Sunday is a day of rest for Church attendance and a Youth Rally. You would enjoy attending one of our church services , where everyone dresses in their Sunday best, and you'll marvel at the wonderful singing.
